About
Special Leave Petition
Special Leave Petition, or SLP, signifies that a
person is taking distinct permission, so that he/she can be heard on appeal
against any verdict. This means that it is a petition that one files for an
appeal but it is not an appeal itself. Thereafter, the Supreme Court decides if
it needs to hear more about the incident. If it is considered to be
appropriate, then the petition is granted and converted to an appeal. In such case,
the Court will listen to the issue and make a judgment. The format of any SLP
includes: a synopsis of the matter, relevant dates, cursory facts, and a few
other mandatory points.
The Bails
Special Leave Petition can be filed under Article 136 of the Constitution.
This provides the Supreme Court with the power to permit a distressed group to
appeal against a judgment passed in any lower court. An SLP can also be filed
if a high court denies acceding to the fitness certificate for appeal to the
Supreme Court. When there is a question of law included, the Supreme Court
takes up the SLP.

About
Anticipatory Bail
Anticipatory bill is stated in Section 438 of the
Criminal Procedure Code. When an individual who is accused fears about getting arrested,
the notion of anticipatory bill comes into consideration. This Anticipatory Bail from Supreme Court
gives a person's short-term liberty till the case is concluded. As the name
suggests, an anticipatory bill is applied when someone is anticipating an
arrest.
The intention of the bill is to indicate that the
individual is to be released on bail, even before he or she is arrested. One of
the key points to keep in mind is that the FIR has already been lodged whether
the felony is subject to bail or not. If an FIR has been pressed, then a
conditional bail can be granted.
This bill was
initiated to combat misuse of power regarding the arrests. Additionally, there
can be wrong or spiteful accusations against an individual where the need for
this bill arises. He or she can be arrested after the investigation if found guilty.
